Job description:
The Advanced Manufacturing Technician role offers transitioning service members the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, technology development, and rapid prototyping activities. This position focuses on supporting the design, testing, and optimization of novel manufacturing systems for defense and industrial applications. Participants will work closely with a research-focused engineering team to operate advanced manufacturing equipment, assist in technology development projects, and support laboratory improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and apply advanced manufacturing skills – to include metal additive manufacturing (3D printing), robotics, and laser processing – to tackle real-world manufacturing, maintenance, and repair challenges currently facing the defense industrial base.
