The Innovation Product Manager (IPM) position is responsible for identifying and prioritizing customer needs translating the need into customer requirements to support research and product development activities. The IPM needs to be a self-starter and big picture thinker who understands how all the pieces fit together on a broad domain scale yet also understands the technical details needed to make it happen. Collaboration and communication skills are a must. A successful candidate will know how to apply their deep domain knowledge to craft a vision and strategy for product development. Upon completing this program the candidate will be highly marketable within several industry fields including technology, Aerospace & Defense among others. The candidate will learn and understand how to take challenges and ideas and turn them into a reality. Potential roles that would fit this candidate would be: Data Scientist, Product Owner, Principal Investigator, Innovation Lead, Program Manager, Product Manager.

Through the power of Cloud, advanced software concepts and AI/ML we want to become pathfinders for leveraging data to effectively support distributed C2 and ISR&T missions in an increasingly digitized battlespace. We aspire to lead our teams to design, develop and integrate intelligent software centric data solutions that are transparent, removing vendor lock while enabling maximum extensibility for the warfighter. The Innovation Product Manager (IPM) role is responsible for identifying and prioritizing customer needs translating the need into customer requirements to support research and product development activities. The IPM needs to be a self-starter and big picture thinker who understands how all the pieces fit together on a broad domain scale yet also understands the technical details needed to make it happen. Collaboration and communication skills are a must. A successful candidate will know how to apply their deep domain knowledge to craft a vision and strategy for product development. The successful IPM candidate: Has the curiosity and self-starter attitude to learn and explore new concepts. Enjoys leading others on project initiatives; Conducts market research on industry trends and new technology. Analyze opportunities within challenges within the C2, EW or ISRT mission space. Gather and review stakeholder feedback. Evaluate risks and rewards for new potential product development. Gathers business requirements, identify needs, identify gaps and work with cross functional teams to solve issues. Develop and implement the strategy for the product offering collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, technologists and SMES to support development of concepts. Lead and develop concept development plans and MVP roadmaps for R&D efforts. Has experience in writing and developing business cases, pitch decks and case studies. Is able to operate independently Preferred Skills: Domain expertise with either C2, EW or ISR&T mission spaces. Critical thinker who can creatively transform strategies into a vision via roadmaps. Experience working with and/or leading cross functional teams to define and achieve high value goals. Must be results oriented and have the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Qualifications: TS/SCI (US Citizenship required). 4+ years of experience working with software or data challenges. Active Duty Military. Is within 180 days of separation or retirement. Has received Unit Commander approval to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program
The role can be remote and located anywhere within the United States.
