Security Officer: Blue Origin's security team at our Orbital Launch Site in Florida is responsible for ensuring site security and supporting safe human spaceflight operations. As a SkillBridge intern, you will control access to the site via the Visitor Management System, execute all post orders and respond to inquiries at guard posts, understand and comply with Blue Origin badging policies to properly categorize and issue visitor badges, respond to emergency situations including fire, medical, and suspicious person incidents, execute roving patrols throughout the facility, support special events and emergent activities as assigned by Security Management, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining site security. This role requires flexibility to work nights, overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts to support launch operations, and the ability to stand in static positions for extended periods, work in various weather conditions including cold, rain/snow, or heat, and climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shifts.Desired Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Valid state security officer license or eligible to obtain; Valid driver's license; 2+ years military, law enforcement, or corporate security experience preferred; CPR/First Aid certification preferred; Strong customer service and communication skills; Ability to de-escalate disputes and conflicts.
