Job description:
LAX Airport Police Officers are California POST-certified peace officers tasked with protecting the nation's second-busiest airport in the US. Officers provide law enforcement services at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport (VNY). Duties span from routine patrol to highly specialized operations in one of the most critical transportation hubs in the world. While enforcing local, state, and federal laws, as well as airport and aviation-specific regulations.
The Los Angeles Airport Police Department is looking to the fill the position of a Police Officer. All candidates are allowed to apply, complete and pass our 9-step hiring process. Step 1 fill out city Application. Step 2 Pass Multiple choice test. Step 3 Submit your personal history statement. Step 4 pass the Physical Fitness Qualifier. Step 5 pass a Department Interview & Polygraph. Step 6 Pass a Background investigation. Step 7 have a Command interview. Step 8 complete a medical evaluation. Must pass a precursor background check, be 20 years of age or older, eligible to work in the U.S, no felony convictions, a high school diploma or equivalent, and fill out a city of LA Police Officer application and select Airport Police.
