Summary description:
As an A&P Mechanic with Sierra West Airlines, you will gain hands-on experience supporting active cargo and passenger flight operations in a dynamic aviation environment. This role works closely with certificated mechanics to inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, approved data, and company procedures. Maintenance activities support affiliated Part 125 and Part 135 flight operations, with work performed primarily under an affiliated FAA Part 145 Repair Station. You will gain exposure to multiple aircraft types, real-world operational maintenance, and the regulatory frameworks that support safe and compliant flight operations.
Job description:
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform aircraft maintenance and repairs primarily on B737, Lear 60, and SA227 aircraft in accordance with approved data• Read, analyze, and interpret maintenance manuals, technical procedures, electrical schematics, company policies, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks• Perform maintenance on ground support equipment as needed• Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required• Support aircraft recovery efforts and maintenance needs across operating locations• Perform other duties as assigned
Short-term housing or relocation support (such as a crew house or hotel) may be available to assist candidates while they transition into the area, for a limited time, subject to availability and business needs.

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred but not required; military or equivalent maintenance experience considered• Open to candidates with limited experience who are eager to gain hands-on exposure in cargo and passenger operations• Must be willing to work on site at the location applied for (TOL) or (ELP)• Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States• Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain one within 60 days)• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and work safely around aircraft• Successful completion of DOT drug screening, background checks, and ability to obtain and maintain airport SIDA badge• Willingness to travel occasionally for aircraft recovery or operational support• Ability to work various shifts, overtime, and occasional after-hours callouts• Due to FAA and safety regulations, candidates must be able to safely perform essential aircraft maintenance duties; accommodations cannot be made if they would compromise aviation safety or regulatory compliance
