Job description:
As an Auxiliary Operator, you'll be on the front lines of nuclear plant operations — exactly where your Navy Nuclear training prepared you to be. Working alongside experienced operators and under the guidance of senior shift supervision, you will:Operate and conduct surveillance on plant systems and equipment during assigned shiftsCoordinate with Control Operators and Shift Superintendents to maintain safe, efficient plant conditionsMonitor for abnormal conditions and communicate findings up the chain — just like you did on the boatPerform equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and decontamination tasks as assignedParticipate in emergency drills, refueling evolutions, and outage support activitiesOperate valves, respiratory protection equipment, self-contained breathing apparatus, and firefighting/emergency rescue systems
