Job description:
The purpose of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is to streamline and optimize the movement, storage, and tracking of inventory within a distribution center or warehouse. It provides real-time visibility into inventory levels, order processing, and workflow management, enabling faster, more accurate fulfillment.WMS is critically important to the company because it drives operational efficiency, reduces errors, enhances inventory accuracy, and improves customer satisfaction. By automating and standardizing warehouse processes, WMS helps lower costs, support scalability, and ensure the company can meet growing demand with precision and speed.Duties and Responsibilities:• Identifies and resolves issues related to WMS application usage in the warehouse.• Recommends changes to procedures and workflows to enhance performance and throughput.• Oversees inventory control processes to maintain accurate system and physical inventory alignment.• Monitors and resolves incomplete WMS transactions (e.g., receipts, putaways, picks, shipments).• Utilizes WMS reports to diagnose causes of delays and errors.• Analyzes storage characteristics (e.g., velocity, capacity, tolerance) and recommends improvements.• Develops and delivers training programs, including OJT and classroom instruction.• Supervises Inventory Specialists and supports their daily functions.• Performs other related warehouse and system duties as assigned.

5-8 Years of related experience in Logistics, Distribution, or Warehouse. To fulfill the job requirements of a WMS Administrator, supervisory or management experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is essential. Experience leading teams responsible for inventory control, system operations, or logistics ensures a strong understanding of end-to-end warehouse processes. The ability to manage cross-functional communication and coordinate with IT, operations, and external partners is critical for resolving system issues and implementing improvements. Prior experience in training, performance evaluation, and enforcing standard operating procedures is also important to ensure consistent system usage and operational compliance.
