A Client of Impart Consulting is seeking a master craftsperson dedicated to the
preservation of architectural history. This is not a standard construction role; it is a position for
a specialist who understands that historic renovations require a unique blend of traditional
artistry and modern structural integrity. We restore landmarked exteriors and complex roofing
systems to ensure they endure for another century.
The Importance of Historic Renovation
Working with a Client of Impart Consulting means engaging with the "soul" of a building.
● Preservation over Replacement: You will utilize specialized techniques to repair original
wood and masonry rather than simply replacing them with modern substitutes.
● Complex Roofing Systems: You will work on intricate tile and slate systems that are
central to a building’s historic character.
● Legacy Projects: Our team works on some of the nation’s most prestigious historic
structures, requiring a level of detail and patience found nowhere else in the industry.
Qualifications
Required:
● 3+ years of carpentry experience (with a strong preference for candidates with a
background in historic restoration).
● Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of wood types, historic joinery, and specialized
repair techniques for exterior applications.
● System Integration: Familiarity with tile and slate roofing systems and how they
integrate with underlying carpentry structures.
● Documentation: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and highly
detailed specifications.
● Tool Proficiency: Absolute competence with hand tools, power tools, and specialty
restoration equipment.
Compensation & Benefits
A Client of Impart Consulting values the rare skills required for this work and offers a
package to match:
● Competitive Pay: $28.00 – $45.00 per hour based on your specific experience and
mastery of the craft.
● Insurance: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
● Retirement: 401(k) retirement plan with a company match.
● Time Off: Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.

paths.

restoration projects.
