About the program:
We are a FREE 12-week pre-apprenticeship training program for transitioning service members, veterans, and military dependents which consists of approximately 80% hands on training and 20% classroom instruction. Student will learn 6 weeks of carpentry followed by 6 weeks of electrical plus earn their OSHA 10 construction safety certification (HVAC students in Jacksonville will take 12 weeks of HVAC instruction concluding with their EPA certification.)

If selected for the program, you will be provided all necessary PPE, tools, textbooks, uniform t-shirt, and shop materials all at no cost to you thanks to grant funding. Training is designed to prepare transitioning military personnel, veterans, and dependents for working in the construction industry or a related field. It is understood that by participating in this training program, your final goal is to find immediate employment in this industry. This program is strictly for individuals that are serious about working in the construction or related skilled trades. This program is not for personal home improvements or flipping homes. You will be expected to work in the construction related industry, skilled trades, or continued education such as an apprenticeship or degree program. If you are looking for something to do as a hobby, please do not take a seat from a student that could benefit from this training and job placement opportunity.

In addition to trades training; we also assist our students with employment readiness which includes resumes, mock interviews, on site employer visits and interviews, schedule community construction projects, and provide one on one career counselling.   There is a high demand for entry level semi-skilled and skilled labor across the nation with thousands of jobs readily available. Just as with any career it is expected for us all to start at the bottom and work our way up. With our training, graduates will be able to accelerate their advancement but will have to start at an entry level to initiate the career path. Industry job placement is part of the program and expectation for all graduates, future funding for continued opportunities to future applicants relies on it.
