The objective of the M-2-LE Program is to create incentivized hiring of U.S. Military personnel into the field of law enforcement within Kentucky. The Department of Criminal Justice Training Basic Academy is 21-weeks in length. It is typically longer in duration to breaks in training for Federal holidays. A new academy class starts approximately every six weeks and will have availability for military SkillBridge applicants. The military SkillBridge applicant must be able to pass all tests, skill evaluations, assignments and requirements determined by the Department of Criminal Justice Training.
