This opportunity provides hands-on training and experience supporting cybersecurity compliance programs for companies in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) working to achieve Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).Participants will gain exposure to a consultative approach to cybersecurity and compliance, helping organizations understand requirements, evaluate solutions, and successfully navigate the CMMC process. This is not traditional transactional sales, but rather a customer-facing role focused on education, problem-solving, and mission support.The program is designed to prepare candidates for roles supporting compliance, solution delivery, and customer interaction within a fast-growing and mission-critical sector.
Job description:
During the internship, participants will:-Develop an understanding of the 110 CMMC cybersecurity controls and their application-Gain exposure to Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform environments-Support real-world compliance efforts and customer compliance initiatives-Participate in discovery, solution alignment, and ongoing customer support activities-Build foundational skills in cybersecurity, communication, and business operationsAt the completion of the program, candidates will be prepared to pursue roles in cybersecurity consulting, compliance support, and customer-facing positions within the Defense Industrial Base ecosystem.
This opportunity is 100% virtual. As of May 2026, twenty-eight SkillBridge candidates have participated in the program with a 100% job placement rate upon separation from active duty.Participants may have the opportunity to explore roles across cybersecurity, customer engagement, and business operations depending on performance, strengths, and organizational needs.

Preferred qualifications include certifications aligned with DoDM 8140.03 (e.g., Security+, CASP+, CISSP, CISM), but candidates with strong aptitude, communication skills, and interest in cybersecurity and technology-enabled business environments are encouraged to apply.
