We are the exclusive U.S. retrofit installer for Lazer Safe press brake safety systems, serving 300+ customers nationwide. Fellows will train as Field Technicians, learning to install camera-based safety systems on hydraulic press brakes, build electrical interfaces and wiring harnesses, install machine guarding solutions, and conduct OSHA/ANSI compliance testing. Training blends electronics workshop builds (Weeks 1-2) with progressive field installations alongside senior technicians (Weeks 3-12). The work combines electrical skills with mechanical fabrication in a high-demand, low-competition niche. 75%+ hire rate expected — demand currently exceeds our installation capacity.
Job description:
Install Lazer Safe safety systems on hydraulic press brakes (bracket mounting, wiring harnesses, controller setup, encoder placement, HMI configuration, calibration, overrun testing). Build custom electrical interfaces for machine-specific installations. Install machine guarding: rear guards, perimeter fencing, scissor gates, interlock systems. Conduct overrun tests to verify hydraulic integrity per ANSI B11.3. Deliver post-installation operator training. Troubleshoot field issues with senior tech support. Perform service calls, repairs, and recertifications.
Company provides credit card, tools, and covers all travel expenses (per diem) during the fellowship. Fellow will travel with senior technicians to customer manufacturing facilities nationwide. No relocation required — position is home-based with travel nationwide. 75%+ intent to hire upon successful completion.
