Responsibilities:
● Fabrication & Installation: Fabricate and install various architectural sheet metal components, including but not limited to, gutters, downspouts, flashing, copings, fascias, and metal roof panels.
● Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications to lay out and execute work with precision.
● Material Work: Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal materials (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.) using hand tools and power equipment.
● Joining & Sealing: Securely fasten seams and joints using soldering, welding, riveting, and other sealing techniques to ensure watertight and durable installations.
● Site Work: Work on-site and at heights, often using ladders and scaffolding, while adhering to all safety protocols and company standards.
● Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation, structural integrity, and adherence to quality and safety standards. ● Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, roofers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as a sheet metal worker, specifically with a focus on architectural and roofing applications
● Skills: Proficiency in using sheet metal tools and machinery. Strong mathematical skills and the ability to work with precise measurements.
● Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting heavy materials, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
● Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Relevant trade certifications or completion of an apprenticeship program is a significant plus.
● Safety: Knowledge of and commitment to safety procedures and regulations for working at heights and with power tools.
Compensation:
● Salary: The pay for this position ranges from $25 to $40+ per hour, commensurate with experience and skill level.
