The Fargo, North Dakota based company recently expanded with the acquisition of a 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that will allow increased production. The increase in manufacturing capacity is important because the use of autonomous systems is rapidly expanding in the defense industry as well as for commercial use. Everything from transport, defense, intelligence gathering, surveying and more increasingly relies on the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Packet Digital is uniquely positioned to fill the ever-increasing demand to UAS batteries, especially the critical demand for USA-made drone batteries.Packet Digital has designed, prototyped, tested, and manufactured power systems, batteries, and battery chargers for the most demanding customers in the world, including the Naval Research Lab, Air Force Research Lab, Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter, and Anduril.     Job description:
    The Manufacturing Intern supports the manufacturing process by assembling and testing our productsand will perform a variety of activities that augment Packet Digital’s engineering services and productionprocesses. Activities include final assembly, welding, CNC operation, soldering, and kitting, among others. This role requires a hands-on contributor with a desire to learn about effective manufacturing and quality systems.
